Hello Everyone! We would like to fill you in on what we have been up to this season, and invite you to the first farm stand since Daniel left last year to pursue new opportunities.
Since then his cousin, Justin Peers, has taken over management of the property and is continuing to run the produce operation on a smaller scale. This has allows him to focus the majority of his time on infrastructure improvements and restructuring during this uncertain time for small businesses. Justin also built a blacksmith forge on the property and has been making great stuff!
We are utilizing the infrastructure and best practices that Daniel put in place as Old Milburnie Farm and growing on those core values as an organic farm and conservatory. Our goal is to share the property with you as a private rental space where your party can reserve the entire place for your family, friends, or event on our new and improved website www.oldmilburniefarm.com.
We see this as an opportunity to provide a safe place for families to recreate outdoors in the wake of Covid-19 in our socially distanced “outpost” from Raleigh city limits. Those that are familiar with the space will know that this includes access to the private 80-acre Beaver Dam Lake, hardwood and pine forests, a newly renovated cabin in the woods, and a pavilion. Daniel has worked hard (per usual) to build our new website and we are honored to keep up the legacy of Old Milburnie Farm on the property, while also focusing on providing a private space for patrons to enjoy this incredible land.
